Romney is at it again. You’ve already heard and read about it, right? If not, a good summary of his latest implosion can be found HERE.

There is definitely a stench in the air this past week, and it is the scent of a desperate, disoriented campaign. And leading the charge is a craven opportunist who doesn’t know, or can’t articulate what he believes in because he only believes in one thing: himself. And therefore, it all makes sense, through that prism, to see all the gaffes and maladroit, way-too-tense guffaws, the painful demonstration of how ill-at-ease he is around anyone not in his inner circle, that these are not mistakes he is making so much as admissions. He can’t help himself because he can’t help himself.

All of which is to say, this is not the way I wanted to see Mr. Bungle come back into the conversation, but the band is on permanent hiatus and Romney is Mr. Bungle now.

So to offset the necessity of pointing that out, and celebrating one of the great bands of the ’90s, whom I wrote fondly about here and here, let’s offer up one tasty track from each of their proper albums.

Mr. Bungle is dead (well, he is alive, his campaign, not so much), long live Mr. Bungle.
