A little over two years ago, 1455 was launched to support and nourish a global community of creatives: writers, artists, academics, entrepreneurs, thinkers, and literary fans.

Enlisting, engaging, and expanding this vibrant community is what inspires me most about being Executive Director of 1455. Lean and focused, we’ve been providing – and will continue to provide – all of our events free of charge, fueling our broader local vision to offer writer residencies and community programs for the public in the heart of beautiful Winchester, Virginia. That’s why today, 1455 needs another kind of fuel: your financial support!

To stay on track and open our doors in the fall of 2020, we must raise $139,602 between now and December 31st. Your gift right now of $500, $250, $100 or $50 will have a significant impact on all of our efforts and support our new Center: 1455litarts.org/support-vcla. Your generous contribution will make it possible to continue our monthly author series; renovate our Winchester space to house our writers residences and provide essential community programs; and advance our critical efforts throughout the region, across the country and around the world.

Thank you, in advance, for your generosity.

Cheers!
Sean
